Smart rewards is the new way to use smart charging. It is a feature within Synergi smart charging that rewards EV drivers—regardless of their energy contract—for supporting the grid.
Synergi automatically adjusts charging times based on energy prices and grid needs. When you use smart charging, you earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards and other rewards in the future. By combining smart rewards with smart charging, EV drivers can now earn rewards while also saving on their energy bills!
Currently, smart rewards is available only to users with electric cars in Finland.
If the energy grid needs balancing, it will automatically happen during your smart charging session. The longer you're plugged in, the more we can rely on your support. When this happens, you'll see "grid support in progress" in the app, and charging will pause briefly, usually for a few minutes (never more than 30). To keep things running smoothly and earn rewards, just keep your charger plugged in.
Smart rewards is built into our smart charging feature. Just download the Synergi app, connect your EV, and use smart charging as much as possible. We handle the rest—charging when energy is abundant and pausing when the grid is busy.
You earn rewards by collecting points every time you smart charge! The more points you accumulate the better your rewards. For now, gift cards are the only available reward. As we partner with energy companies and other players, there will be more rewards to choose from in the future.
