Coming soon: Earn rewards with smart charging — check your provider!
Smart rewards are coming soon to Finland! Smart rewards are the new way to use smart charging and getting rewarded for supporting the grid. When the grid requires balancing, Synergi seamlessly optimises your charging sessions in the background. The more you use smart charging, the greater your savings and rewards.
To receive rewards, your electricity provider must support them — we’re working to make Smart rewards available through as many providers in Finland as possible. Current supported providers are:
- Pohjois-Karjalan Sähkön (PKS)
- Väre
- Vaasan Sähkö
- Oomi
- Aalto Energia
- Vattenfall Oy
If your electricity provider is not on the list, you can continue using smart charging as usual and accumulate savings. Download Synergi, register, select your electricity provider, and you’ll receive a notification as soon as the service becomes available for you. We hope to add your provider to the list of supported ones as soon as possible!
A few heads up on EV vendors:
General
Vendors and models listed as "beta" means that their connections are experiencing frequent issues with stability and/or response times. The service might not work as expected. You can always message us at support@synergi.so if you experience any issues. We provide support in English, Finnish and Swedish.
All the vendors supported by Synergi do not indicate affiliation.
Electric car vendors
There are a handful of electric car brands we do not support just yet:
Citroen, DS, Opel and Peugeot: Stellantis Group brands’ cloud services are not yet ready for smart car charging due to unreliable connections to the cars or limited capabilities to receive certain commands.
Polestar and newer Volvos (Recharge line): It is currently not possible to connect as cloud connectivity requires connecting to Bluetooth, which is not possible from our headquarters.Please note that Mercedes-Benz only allows Smart Charging when the battery level is above 50%. Make sure to set a value of over 50% in your Mercedes me app so we can smart charge your EV.
Heating & cooling vendors
Please note that if your heat pump brand or model are not supported or does not have WiFI you can also connect your device with a Sensibo, an AC remote controller that adds WiFi capabilities to your heat pump. You can purchase a Sensibo from any local electronics shop or directly from Sensibo website.

How does Synergi protect my data?
At Synergi, your privacy and security are our top priority. We never store or save your login details (such as usernames or passwords) on our systems. We partner only with trusted, well-known providers to securely connect your devices via cloud services.

Why should I use Synergi?
Our app removes the hassle out of timing your energy usage. It automatically shifts your consumption to the cheapest hours of the day to save you some money and earn rewards. No extra equipment or installations are required. Synergi connects directly to the cloud service of your devices.
Synergi also lets you take part in local flexibility and grid balancing programs. Your devices can respond to peak electricity demand in your area naturally, without disrupting your comfort at home. For example, our smart rewards functionality currently rewards EV drivers for charging while supporting the grid. Smart rewards are available to EV drivers in Finland with a supported EV and electricity provider. Check eligibility here.
In the future, more locations and devices will be supported.
How do I save money and earn rewards?
You can save money with us in several ways. To get started, you must have a supported device and model to use at least one of our smart features: smart charging, solar charging, or smart heating & cooling.
With solar charging, we allow you to use some of your self-produced solar power to charge your electric car. This helps you save on transmission fees.
With smart charging and smart heating & cooling, we shift your consumption to hours when electricity prices are lower. Savings will accumulate according to your usage frequency.
By using smart charging you can also earn rewards by letting us adjust your charging when its good for the grid. Smart rewards are available to EV drivers in Finland with a supported EV and electricity provider. Check eligibility here.
Can anyone use Synergi?
Yes, anyone can download the app. However, to benefit from it, you must have a supported device (electric vehicle, solar panels, or heating and cooling devices) and model. You can see all supported models from this link.
The app's features like smart charging and smart heating & cooling are designed to give you control. For optimal use, variable/spot-price is recommended.
EV drivers in Finland with a supported vehicle and electricity provider—even on fixed-price contracts—can earn rewards for smart charging and helping balance the grid. Check eligibility here.
Why is Synergi free?
There's no catch—we're committed to keeping it that way. We build partnerships with utilities and other energy companies so the app comes at no cost to you!
For example, Synergi operates as a virtual power plant and participates in grid balancing. In return, national grid players reward Synergi and its users.
