Synergi is joining Swissolar, the Swiss Solar Energy Professionals Association, to deepen our commitment to Switzerland's energy transition and support the rapid expansion of solar energy across the country. Swissolar brings together over 1300 members across the full solar value chain to shape the future of solar power in Switzerland.
Why is Switzerland a key market for residential and C&I flexibility solutions?
Switzerland is installing around 1.5 GW of new solar capacity each year, with residential rooftop systems making up roughly two-thirds of the market. Battery storage is growing even faster — nearly tripling between 2024 and 2026. As more Swiss homes combine solar panels with batteries and electric vehicles, the need for intelligent software to manage these distributed energy resources is growing rapidly.
New regulations, including the June 2024 Electricity Act mandating solar on buildings over 300 m², are accelerating this shift. For energy partners across Switzerland, the opportunity to offer smart energy management to their customers has never been greater.
What does Synergi bring to the Swiss solar ecosystem?
Synergi's mission is to help energy partners build more balanced and resilient energy systems through unlocking flexibility from residential and small-scale C&I assets with pure software solutions. Our technical aggregation platform enables energy companies to unlock the flexibility hidden in their customers' solar panels, home batteries, EVs, and heat pumps — optimising self-consumption, supporting grid balance, and turning distributed energy assets into coordinated virtual power plants.
We bring experience from the Nordic energy markets, where dynamic tariffs, demand response, and household flexibility are already well established. In Switzerland, we are already working closely with energy partners to drive this vision forward, and joining Swissolar is a natural next step to deepen these collaborations.
"Switzerland is a key market for us, and we are already working hand-in-hand with energy partners here to build a more balanced and resilient energy system. Joining Swissolar gives us a powerful network to learn from, collaborate with, and contribute to as we push forward our residential and C&I software solutions across the country," says, Antti Hämmäinen, CEO & Co-founder at Synergi
"We're very happy to welcome Synergi as a new member of Swissolar. Their experience from the Nordic energy markets, especially in household flexibility and dynamic tariffs, brings valuable new and international perspectives to our network. We're looking forward to the exchange and future collaboration," says Hanane Carluccio, Memberships and Administration at Swissolar
